Insurance Re-instatement Works
AFA also offers an insurance re-instatement service which includes:
- Initial inspection of insurance damage, assessment of claim and advice to client
- Preparation of initial report to insurance company to appoint Loss Adjustor
- Liaison with Loss Adjustor to agree extent of work required in accordance with insurance policy
- Agreeing with Loss Adjustor for the involvement of the Practice to act on behalf of the client from inception to completion
- Preparation of Specification of works together with building plans as applicable
- Advice on type of contract to be used and preparation of documents
- Obtaining tenders
- Monitoring work on site
- Preparing valuations and financial statements during building operations
- Preparation of progress reports
- Agreeing Contractor's final accounts
- Monitoring works up to practical completion
- Monitoring defects occurring and ensuring the defects are rectified both during the rectification period and on completion of same
- Certifying completion of the project with the Loss Adjustor/insurance company
